AT THE HEART OF OUR MISSION IS OUR DESIRE TO SEE YOUNG PEOPLE ACHIEVE A SECURE TRANSITION INTO ADULTHOOD
We help young people who have been rescued to build aspirations, a sense of stability, and the opportunity to develop within the wider community as they gain skills for life. We believe that every individual matters and that every person deserves the opportunity to be supported to make meaningful changes in their lives.
"SINCE HAVING MENTORING SESSIONS, I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER AND SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT IN MYSELF. HAVING SOMEONE TO TALK TO AND DEBRIEF WITH HAS HELPED MY MENTAL WELL-BEING AND I COULDN'T BE MORE THANKFUL".
HOW IS MENTORING OUTWORKED?
Mentoring is a relationship where a trusting bond between a Mentor and Mentee emerges with the opportunity to provide tailored and focussed guidance, companionship, teaching and encouragement to cultivate the individual's spiritual, emotional, and professional development.
1. A supportive and caring Mentor will be matched and will work personally with a young person (Mentee)
2. Mentors are provided with training and ongoing support by the programme coordinator and Head Mentors.
3. As Mentees begin to take ownership with acquired new-found confidence and skills, they are then encouraged to give back through social and community action.
4. As and when ready, Mentees are invited to enrol onto our Youth Mentoring course to become trained up as fully equipped Mentors.
"MENTORING IS A TWO-WAY TRUSTWORTHY RELATIONSHIP WHERE WE ADMIRE THE GIFTS AND QUALITIES OF EACH OTHER."
