Our UK Hubs provide specialist support for marginalised children, young people, individuals and families within deprived communities. We believe in young people, which means we are proactive in developing families and communities. In turn, we believe this builds a healthier and stronger infrastructure for young people to thrive.
We aim to support individuals who feel disconnected from their community, this could be due to:
> language and culture
> remoteness of location
> age or poor physical mental or emotional health
> fear of stigma and prejudice.
THE PROJECT MAKES ME HAPPY AND HELPS WITH MY ANXIETY, IT HAS HELPED MY PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS AND MY CONFIDENCE. I'M HOPING THE PROJECT WILL SUPPORT AND LEAD ME INTO A FULL-TIME PHOTOGRAPHY JOB."
OUR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS ARE THOSE WHO FEEL ISOLATED AND FORGOTTEN, AND ARE THEREFORE AT RISK IN SOCIETY; THOSE WHO LACK CONFIDENCE, WHO FEEL ALONE, AND WHO HAVE LIMITED OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO THEM, AND THEREFORE WHO ARE MORE LIKELY TO TURN TO CRIME OR FIND THEMSELVES VICTIM OF EXPLOITATION.
Through our UK Hubs, we aim to mobilise communities: to bring people together to make a difference. Our Hubs focus on developing confidence and self-esteem, and helping individuals and families realise their value in their community: to develop their sense of identity and belonging within the communities they live, and to achieve their full potentials.
We are training services and projects across the UK, to recognise those who are disconnected from their communities: and to provide early intervention to support those in need. We are empowering people to see the value of community: to mentor, support and guide individuals who are crying out for support and compassion; and to work together to transform the lives of those in need.
